Guests must be accompanied by an owner/occupant of an SMHA household, when using the pool and other amenities e.g., tennis court, basketball court, playgrounds, etc… SMHA residency or occupancy is required to use all SMHA common areas and amenities. If proof of residency or occupancy cannot be provided, trespassers can be reported and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Smoking or vaping is prohibited on all SMHA common property and amenities.

Tennis Court Rules

The tennis court is restricted to tennis only.  Please do not allow children or guests to use the court as a bicycle arena, game area, or for any other purpose. The surface of the tennis court is specially designed for the game of tennis and misuse can cause damage that can be costly to repair.

Tennis shoes must be worn; playing in bare feet is not permitted.

Food, beverages and sun tan lotions are not to be taken on the court.

When others are waiting to play: limit rally to 5 minutes

  • Pro set (no deuce) with tie breaker at 5-5

  • No singles, please

Players 17 years and younger are to yield to older players on weekends and holidays.

Monday – Friday from 3-5 PM the court is reserved for junior tennis players, ages 17 and younger. Any adult must relinquish the court immediately to a junior player during this time period.

Monday – Friday, after 5 PM, juniors must relinquish the court immediately to adults.

Court etiquette will be observed by all Homeowners and their guests.

No group may assume priority at any time except as noted above.

The court must be locked at all times when it is not in use. This will help prevent vandalism and theft of the outdoor furniture which has been a problem in the past. If you need a replacement key for the Tennis Courts, contact Peter Ryan, or a member of the Board of Governors. Residents will be charged a fifteen-dollar ($15) fee for each replacement key.

Putting Green Reservations

Starlight Mesa HOA residents or occupants wishing to host ten (10) or more guests (limit 50 guests total) at one time MUST complete the Putting Green Reservation Request Form below.

Send completed form via email to the Mesa Pool Committee at: starlightmesapool@gmail.com a minimum of one week prior to the event. Reservations are approved on a first-come-first-served basis. 

Putting Green reservations are for up to four (4) hours (including clean-up) and Mesa residents may hold no more than two (2) reservations at a time.

Pool Rules

There is no lifeguard on duty at any time. All persons using the facilities will do so at their own risk. In the event of emergency call 9-1-1.

Both pool gates must be kept closed and locked at all times.

All owners and occupants of SMHA households and their hosted guests must observe all rules at all times and use the pool area in a safe manner.

Daily pool hours for swimming and activity in the pool area are 9AM to 9PM. Daily pool hours for swimming laps ONLY are 6 AM to 9 PM.

Children under the age of fourteen (14) shall not use pool without a parent or adult guardian in attendance.

Glassware and bottles are prohibited in the pool area. No food or drinks are allowed in the water or on the pool deck at any time. Food may be served on tables and bar only.

Smoking or vaping prohibited in the pool area or anywhere on and SMHA common property and amenities.

Vandalism, including but not limited to throwing rocks or other items into the pool or pool area or misuse of pool furniture or safety equipment e.g., skimmer net, rescue ring, or rescue hook is prohibited. The cost to repair or replace damaged equipment, furniture, or other property will be added to fines levied for the offense.

No running in the pool area. Roughhousing, horseplay, or games that prohibit others from full use of the pool are prohibited. Respect other swimmers by limiting floats and inflatables to those designed for one person. No multi-passenger inflatable boats, canoes, kayaks, etc. permitted.

If using sunscreen, use shower provided before entering pool.

Do not leave food or drinks on tables or bar area. Place all trash, in the trash containers and close lid tightly.

Return all furniture to its original place before leaving the pool area.

No pets allowed in the pool area. ONLY properly documented service animals allowed in the pool area under the control of the handler always following the ADA guidelines for service animals.
